Statement By NIKE, Inc. Regarding Gulfstream Plane Incident

Beaverton, OR. (21 November, 2005) – NIKE, Inc. today confirms reports that four Nike employees including three senior executives, as well as three crew members are aboard a Nike Gulfstream 5 corporate jet experiencing equipment difficulties this morning. The jet experienced landing gear difficulties after takeoff from Hillsboro, Oregon airport at approximately 6 a.m. today. The jet was en route to Toronto, Canada.

Nike executives based in Beaverton are in touch now with airport officials, Gulfstream engineering experts and the FAA to determine the appropriate next steps to land the aircraft safely.
